Street Fighter V Won’t Be Released Until 2018!
Street Fighter fans will have their patience greatly tested as Capcom releases a new shocking revelation.
In a recent interview with VG247 Capcom producer Tomoaki Ayano has revealed that the next installment of the Street Fighter franchise, Street Fighter V, will not be seeing a release date until 2018.
Ayano explained Capcom’s reason for giving Street Fighter V an extremely long release date is due to the games developmental processes.
‘’Game development is a long and arduous process. If you look at the history of the series, it took six years to go from Street Fighter II to Street Fighter III, and nine years to go from Street Fighter III to Street Fighter IV. Purely based on that it would probably take us until the year 2018 before Street Fighter V comes out.’’
However although the long wait may indeed be unbearable Ayano hopes to keep fans of the series occupied with the current Street Fighter IV title since a new upgraded version of the title Ultra Street Fighter IV was also announced during VG247’s interview, and will follow the same traditions of Super Street Fighter IV with the inclusions of new characters such as Rolento, Elena, Hugo and Poison. Ayano recommends that players stay attached to the title for as long as possible since it will be a very long time before we see Street Fighter V.
‘’I hope everyone will play Ultra Street Fighter IV for a long time.’’
No release date has been issued for Ultra Street Fighter IV but you can check out the Ultra Street Fighter 4 Announcement Trailer down below
