Tesla Effect Officially Announced With Teaser Trailer

The upcoming Tex Murphy adventure game, known unofficially as Project Fedora since even before the successful kickstarter, now has an official name – Tesla Effect. The name was announced on TexMurphy.com at the same time as the reveal of a teaser trailer, which can be seen below.

The game is a sequel to the Tex Murphy series of adventure games from the 1990’s. The final game, Tex Murphy: Overseer had ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans clamoring for more. Tesla Effect appears to uphold the Tex Murphy standard of mature and intense storytelling, though no actual gameplay was shown.

No release date has yet been announced, but the game is expected to be released for PC, iOS, and Android around September of this year. You can still back the project, or upgrade your incentive level until July 31st. Details available at Big Finish Games’ website.

Aaron, Mac will be supported, but I don’t think iOS has been mentioned. I’d be glad to be wrong, though.

Steve Douglas Oh – I understood iOS would be supported, I even mentioned it in the video interview with Chris Jones, and nobody from Big Finish corrected me….hmmm.

PantslessAaron Things may well have changed — but I know that the original campaign was for PC and Mac, while the 20% “additional platforms” stretch goal was for “Android tablet and Xbox (pending approval from Microsoft)”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=OSe8JecIsZ4#t=78s
