Sony Talks Gaikai, Streaming Past Games

At the original reveal of the PS4, Sony talked a bit about bringing some of their extensive catalogue to the PS4.  Today, they put that into a little more context.

Coming first to PS3 and PS4, and to Vita in the “near future”, Gaikai will allow users to stream PS3 games directly from the cloud.  Sony had originally talked about the possibility of PS1 & PS2 games coming this way, but E3 led to no announcement in this regard.  Other than that, there weren’t many details at all about how this is going to work, but it’s nice that they didn’t forget about it.

The streaming service won’t be available until some time in 2014, so we have a little wait before we know all the details.
