New Details For Battlefield 4 Shown At E3 2013: 64-Player Online, Commander Mode, Social Network

Showing off the next gen shooter Battlefield 4, EA has revealed some new features including 64-player online matches, Commander mode, and new social network Battlefield.com.

The footage shown was of a 64-player map called Siege of Shanghai. Opening up in Commander Mode, we saw the map filled with all 64 players and then cuts straight to the action.

EA had a number of players split up into squads to show off the map and gameplay, which looks smooth.

Commander Mode, returning from Battlefield 2, lets you survey the battle with a full map and can be used on tablets, as well.

Battlefield.com will allow you to stay up-to-date with your squadmates, rivals, and leaders on the boards. Keep track of stats and profile on the new social network.

Battlefield 4 will be out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
