Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Gameplay Shown Off

At Sony’s E3 conference we finally got to see some Assassin’s Creed IV gameplay. Played on the PS4, Black Flag showed off some hectic gameplay that got more and more epic as the demo went on.

Starting off in a port village, we see Edward Kenway tailing someone to a meeting place. Edward kills some guards (well, the guy playing the demo tries to, at least) and gets in close for the double kill.

After that, the game goes into a short cinematic where approaching ships fire upon the port causing a ton of chaos. Edward leaps into the the fire as he makes his way to his ship. Naval combat starts up and then…

The demo freezes. No joke, the Assassin’s Creed IV demo got borked. Still, what we saw was impressive with great visuals and voice acting. The pirate gimmick is making me excited.

Sony also touted that Aveline, who appeared in the Vita-exclusive Liberation, would be making a return.
