PlayStation Vita To Get A F2P Dragon’s Dogma Game

It looks like PS Vita owners could soon be getting a taste of the fantastic Dragon’s Dogma and it will be free-to-play.

Dragon’s Dogma Quest doesn’t sound like the full-retail game already available on consoles though, it will in fact be a 2D RPG. Designed with the Vita in mind, it’s a fast-paced RPG that’s built for being played on the go. It’s also much more strategy based than its 3D counterpart but Quest still hopes to capture the essence of the original Dragon’s Dogma game.

Much like Dragon’s Dogma, players can explore dungeons, towns, villages and complete quests – there’s over 150 jobs. In addition, Quest ¬†allows you to have your four pawns of choice plus you can team up with a friend and their four pawns, something that can’t be done in the original.

Although Quest will be a free-to-play game, it’s likely there will also be micro-transactions and/or a paid for version available for those who don’t have much time on their hands.

This is great news for classic RPG fans, whether you’ve played Dragon’s Dogma or not this will be a good excuse to dive back into the fantasy world of dragons, chimeras and ogres.

Dragon’s Dogma Quest is heading to PS Vita in Japan this fall. There’s no word on the Western release date yet.

Thanks, Siliconera
