Bethesda Opens a New Play Test Lab in Dallas, Texas
Bethesda are set to open a new Play Test lab in Dallas, Texas, at the beginning of this month. The publisher behind the Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises will be opening this new lab in the id Software offices, and currently they are looking for a new team of testers.
These testers will get to play the latest Bethesda titles long before they come out and give feedback on their experiences – something that is vital to the development of any game. As well as being able to play their latest games early, there’s even the chance to score yourself some Bethesda swag, which every gamer will want to get their hands on. On the advertisement on the Bethesda Blog, they explained the kind of people they are looking for:
We are looking for people of all skill levels who enjoy playing games. We’re interested in your feedback, whether you are a person that only plays games once in a while or a hardcore gamer that plays everything.
Applicants must be over 18 years old and must be around the Dallas area, although applications from across the United States will be considered. Sadly applications from overseas won’t be considered (which is a shame as this has the potential to be a great job). You can apply by visiting playtest.bethesda.com. Another thing to note is that you won’t be able to apply if you’re already a game developer or publisher, or if you’re a journalist.
Could this be a call for play testers for The Elder Scrolls Online, their latest horror The Evil Within or even something even more amazing, like Fallout 4? One thing is for certain – if I lived in America this would definitely be something I would apply for!
