Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl Trailer Shows Revamped Cutscenes
Atlus, the perennial powerhouse in the increasingly niche Japanese role playing game genre has released a new Japanese trailer for Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl, the 3DS remake of the 2007 Nintendo DS title. The trailer provides a glimpse into what we can expect the game’s animated cutscenes and story to look like. In addition to showing off Millennium Girl’s revamped style and gameplay, the trailer briefly introduces several of the game’s characters.
Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl like its predecessor puts the player in the role of a bounty hunter in the fantasy kingdom of Etria. The 3-D dungeon crawler tasks players with exploring abandoned ruins to level up your characters. To differentiate itself from the DS version Millennium Girl seeks to implement more story-driven content.
Announced in March, Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl is currently set to launch in Japan June 27. Release dates for other regions have not been announced, but seeing as the DS version launch shortly after the Japan launch, we could expect to see it on North American and European shelves late this year, barring any changes. Check out the trailer and box art to see for yourself.
