More Walking Dead To Come Before Season 2

Season 1 of Telltale’s adventure game The Walking Dead was a smash hit, both financially and critically.  It nabbed the VGA’s 2012 game of the year, and won a ton of other awards at many different outlets.  Telltale is currently hard at work on Season 2, but today news has surfaced that there may be some more Walking Dead content to tide those over thirsting for some more zombie adventures.

Gary Whitta, a writer for The Walking Dead, confirmed that there will be some extra Walking Dead content in between Season 1 and 2.  Speaking on IGN’s video show Up at Noon, Whitta said,

“…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.”

Unfortunately, no details about the story was dropped.  No news on whether this new content will bridge the gap between Season 1 or 2, or if this is a complete off-shoot telling a different story.

Gary Whitta was the lead writer for Episode 4 – Around Every Corner.

During this interview, Whitta also mentioned that folks who are eagerly anticipating Season 2 should probably expect to hold onto their butts for a little longer.  Season 2 is still a long way off and that production of it is still in its early stages.  But hopefully this new game that arises in between Season 1 and 2 can satiate my desire to make more horrible decisions.
