Sega All Star Racing Transformed Coming to 3DS Feb. 12
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has been confirmed for Nintendo 3DS later this month. Sega announced today, on their blog, that their star-studded kart racer, originally scheduled for a late 2012 release, will be released in Europe and North America on Feb. 8 and Feb. 12, respectively.
The handheld port will include new features that fully utilize the 3DS’s functionality. You can now play as your Mii, in your own transforming vehicle. Players will also be able to use the 3DS’s StreetPass feature to play with up to seven of your friends using multi cart or single cart play. Joining the roster of 22 Sega characters are two new racers, NASCAR star Danica Patrick and Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph.
Sega also unveiled a bonus edition which will feature: Metal Sonic as a playable character along with his transforming vehicle and Mod Pack, an additional Outrun Bay Track, as well as additional challenges, time trials, and stickers for your in-game driver’s license.
