Crytek Creates New US Studio with one of Vigil Games’ Co-Founders

The industry shed a collective tear last week when Vigil Games failed to find a buyer in THQ’s massive auction.  However, it seems as though a new glimmer of hope emerged, as Crytek announced today they are opening up a studio called Crytek USA in Austin, Texas.  The core staff of Vigil will serve as the basis for this new studio, and David Adams, one of the co-founders of Vigil, will be the CEO.  They have not announced any new projects as of this time.

This is coming straight off the heels of Platinum expressing interest in purchasing Darksiders and Vigil.
