Chip and Joanna Gaines recently announced the end of their wildly popular show, Fixer Upper. Let's look back at all our favorite HGTV Fixer Upper moments.
My End of the World Bucket List
So, word on the street is that the world is ending today. Obviously, there are a lot of logistical issues presented by the end of the world, not the least of which is that I will never be able to do my gaming bucket list. Here it is:
1. Replay Final Fantasy X.
I’ve blabbered on about Final Fantasy X for a while now on Leviathyn, so I won’t bore you with why I love this game so much. Suffice it to say that regardless of how many times I play this game, I will not cross this off the list.
2. Become really good at an intensely competitive game.
This may be unrealistic to do in a day, but I can dream. Ever since I tried to play Starcraft 2 online, I realized that these games just aren’t as fun when you aren’t incredibly good. And to be truthful, I am really not great at games. I don’t play games on harder difficulties; it just isn’t fun failing over and over again. Sometime, it would be cool to succeed in a multiplayer setting, preferably before the world is swallowed up by a black hole or whatever the prevailing theory is today.
3. Make a game.
Again, a bit unrealistic at this point, but I could at least contribute. At the very least, I would love to see what it is like to work in the game development industry. This may be a bit cliche, but it does sound pretty cool to work on games. Of course, the hours don’t seem that great, and it seems like a lot of work, but I only have a day to worry about that, so why not?
4. Play all the unreleased games I would have missed.
Specifically, the next Uncharted game, the Warcraft RTS that probably won’t happen, the expansions to Starcraft 2, Bioshock: Infinite, and any new IPs that I would be missing. It might take a while, but I will try my best on that one.
5. Play the original Donkey Kong.
As a gamer who grew up with the Gamecube and PS2, I sometimes feel guilty that I have never played all the older games that now shape the medium I love. Specifically, I would love to play the game where Mario first appeared, the arcade game Donkey Kong. Mario is THE iconic character in the gaming industry, and I would feel guilty not experiencing the first game he was in.
If the end of the world does come, I may have trouble finishing this list. I will try though. To those who are preparing for the apocalypse, good luck. Make sure to get extra flashlights and ammunition. Meanwhile, I’ll be grinding through Spira in Final Fantasy X.
