Good George Goes Bad In Assassin’s Creed III DLC
Ubisoft announced today that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III will be jumping on the current DLC bandwagon by allowing gamers to purchase a “season pass” that will allow them access to all of the game’s forthcoming DLC.
They also announced that the first three parts of the DLC will be a single player episodic campaign. Called “The Tyranny of King George,” the expansion will tell the alternate history story of a George Washington who accepted the crown and became a tyrant. Ubisoft’s description of the DLC is as follows:
“Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”
The other two parts of the season pass DLC will contain new multiplayer maps and characters.
The season pass itself will cost 2400 Microsoft moon dollars or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network and PC. Look for it six months after the game’s release, and look for Assassin’s Creed III on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 30, with the PC version releasing on November 2oth and the Wii U version out on November 18th.
