The Binding of Isaac Being Remade, Coming To Consoles
Creator Edmund McMillen announced on his Formspring blog that his hit Flash game The Binding if Isaac is currently being remade for consoles, and will feature the Wrath of the Lamb expansion as well as all new music, graphics, animations, enemies , items and pretty much anything you can think of. Most interestingly, McMillen also stated that co-op (local only) is also in the works, as well as a possible Ouya port.
“The remake will be more than just an expansion, it will be a new game with all new graphics, music, etc. It will also feature an expansion sized pack of all new content, bosses, characters enemies, items etc.”, McMillen said on his blog.
He also said that, although the game hasn’t started full development yet, he hopes to hit all consoles. There was no official word on a release date, but McMillen stated that “It will probably take 9-12 months to finish.”
I thought the Binding of Isaac was excellent as a simple Flash game, so I can’t wait to see the full HD version. The announcement of co-op has me excited to experience this nightmare-inducing classic again. What about you?
