Yoshida: PlayStation Cross Buy Just For Europe, For Now

In an interview with Famitsu (via Andriasang) Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio Head Shuhei Yoshida announced that the Cross Buy feature is exclusive to Europe ‘at present.’

The feature, which allows a copy of a game bought on PS3 or PS Vita to be downloaded on the other system for free, was detailed at gamescom last week.

It is possible that this is a purely SCEE initiative but the likelihood is that it will be rolled out to other regions in due course. Yoshida added that a larger software line up was what gamers wanted most on PS Vita.

Famitsu also asked Yoshida about the PlayStation 4:

“Regarding this, I can’t say anything. However, one thing I can say is that the PS3 is currently in an extremely good state. Quality titles will continue to appear this year and next year, so we hope that users will look forward to it.”
