E3 Returns to LA in 2013

The rumor was tossed around not too long ago that coordinators for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) were considering moving the convention to a different location from LA for the first time in years, even considering traveling to San Francisco or Chicago.

Well, shut the rumor mill down, folks. Organizers announced yesterday that they plan to keep E3 in Los Angeles for the next three years, citing their excitement to return to the city as it “serves as a strong backdrop for the video game industry’s biggest announcements”.

California, of course, is home to many standout studios and organizations in the gaming industry, making it an ideal backdrop for the event. E3 2013 is expected to exceed the success of 2012, as it is anticipated that both Sony and Microsoft will unveil their next generation consoles at press conferences next year.
