Humble Bundle V Ends, Over 5 Million Raised

With just under 600,000 bundles sold, the absolutely amazing Humble Bundle V has ended sales and completely hit it out of the park. This Humble Bundle was jam packed with great games and soundtracks including Bastion, Psychonauts, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery, Limbo, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Braid, Super Meat Boy, and Lone Survivor.

The super bundle raised over 5.1 million dollars supporting Child’s Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. As usual, Windows took the large piece of the pie in terms of platform sales followed by Mac, and finally Linux. It always shocks me at how many Linux buyers there are on these bundles. It’s cool to see these stats.

The top contributors? @notch, famous for Minecraft and small black hats, actually came in second this time around with a donation of $12,345.67. Yes, I’m not kidding. Coming in third was user @crashplan with $7,424.42, an extremely odd amount but still very gracious from some computer techs. Taking the top spot, @HumbleBrony with $13,167.84. A number that isn’t so much random when you think that it was made up of thousands of MyLittlePony fans, or Bronies as they enjoy to be called.

While I’m not a Brony myself, I will say that if the community gets together like this and does great things, that is just fantastic. Many kudos to the Bronies of the world for contributing to two great causes and some sick games.
