No decision made on remake of A Link to the Past or Majora’s Mask
Already having released a remake of Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS last summer, Nintendo is not sure on remaking A Link to the Past or Majora’s Mask.
Speaking with IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto said, “We haven’t quite decided yet, whether we’re going to do A Link to the Past, because there’s also the possibility of doing a remake of Majora’s Mask. This is something we’ve certainly been talking about and doing a little bit of experimenting with, to figure out which way we’re going to go.”
More interesting, however, is what Miyamoto had to say about not just expanding the 3DS audience, but also increasing the Wii U library: “We have lots of good opportunities in terms of thinking about which Zelda game is going to be best for which purpose.” This is interesting because this might suggest a potential Wii U release for one of those remakes. Nintendo, please don’t break my heart.
