Ubisoft’s Wii U Lineup

Ubisoft had the best conference of the day. Hands down. Their reveals and host were just plain awesome. It could have done without that weird guy, but the woman alone did an amazing job of knowing her audience and rolling with it. The games themselves were exciting and well shown. Ubisoft was doing such a great job, that it didn’t even mind stealing some thunder from Nintendo and showing off Rayman Legends for the Wii U and some multiplayer.

Rayman’s demo had three players tackling the stages. One guy want on the Wii U Gamepad and he was controlling this little creature those helped Rayman and his friends get across traps, hidden walkways, long gaps, and much more. The other players were using Wii U Pro Controllers. Unfortunately, no one from the Rayman team let slip if the Wii U is still limited to one Gamepad per console or not.

Aside from the awesome Rayman demo, Ubisoft also announced their Wii U lineup:

  • Rabbids Land
  • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013
  • Sports Connection
  • Just Dance 4
  • Avengers: Battle for Earth
  • ZombiU
  • Rayman Legends

It seems that Ubisoft is sticking to its guns with the quirky sports, fitness, and casual games but this time we are seeing some more adult games headed to Nintendo’s corner. Ubisoft was the only company to announce anything for the Wii U yesterday. Today is Nintendo’s conference (one of three) and we are expected to get the final details on the new console.
