Wii U controller dubbed the Wii U GamePad
Well, at least we have something. Nintendo has now dubbed its Wii U controller the Wii U GamePad. In terms of looks, it has been redesigned when compared to the prototype unit last year. An NFC Reader/Writer is now located on the bottom left of the controller, which can be pressed, even though the Wii U is not on. You can seemingly use the Wii U GamePad to not only turn the Wii U on and off, but your TV also, as well as the ability to change channels, change volume level, etc. Most importantly, however, actual control sticks have replaced the circle pads.
