Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation Revealed
Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation has been revealed for the PlayStation Vita and will launch on October 30, the same day as Assassin’s Creed 3.
Though not much is currently known you will be playing as a female assassin, called Aveline, for the first time.
According to a NeoGAF post July’s issue of Game Informer outs the title. It is set in New Orleans between 1765 and 1800 and like Connor the protagonist is of mixed descent with Aveline being half French (Connor is half British) and half Native American.
Unlike all other Assassin’s Creed games there will no connection to Desmond in any way in Liberation. Apparently this is because the game is Templar propaganda released by Abstergo to allow people to see what it’s like to live as an assassin rather than a Templar.
The game will feature “true Assassin’s Creed gameplay,” and a “multiplayer specifically tailored to the Vita experience.” A large section of New Orleans will be playable – without loading – and will feature a broad area of the surrounding countryside and it’s denizens including alligators.
Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation will likely be shown at either the Ubisoft or Sony media conferences at E3 and, along with Call of Duty Vita, will hopefully provide the platform with a much needed boost.
It is not known at this point if Liberation will connect to Assassin’s Creed 3 in the same way PSP title Bloodlines connected with Assassin’s Creed 2.
