PopCap Games CEO Dave Roberts will retire and be replaced by co-founder John Vechey. In an exclusive interview with Venture Beat, Vechey talked about the future of PopCap Games, concluding “

PopCap’s mission right now is to create the greatest mobile game studio in the world, and we’re going to do that by only making games that are beloved by players”. The company is set on creating new intellectual property since its most recent launch of Peggle 2, an exclusive for the Xbox One.

Child’s Play rings in the new year calling 2013 the best year to date for its charity. The charity firm raised 7.6 million for hospitals last year, more than all its first six years in donations combined. The total amount raised to date is over 25 million. Child’s Play is a charity organisation that provides video games to domestic violence shelters.

Bethesda is bringing its Fallout games back to Steam. Bethesda has confirmed via Twitter today that is working on bringing back, Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics to Steam and Good Old Games as they were removed from the digital stores on December 31st. The removal is over Intellectual property rights as the games were originally uploaded and sold from Interplay entertainment, which was acquired by Bethesda back in 2007. Once the information is updated, the games should appear once again in the digital store.

World of Warcraft users beware, new malware out there is responsible for stealing user’s accounts and authenticator data. Via a post from Blizzards battle.net forms, Blizz staff are warning users to be on the look out for a new Trojan called Disker or Disker64 effecting only windows users. The malware is said to steal both the users and authenticator password when entering the game for login. Nintendo confirms Wii Fit U retail version to be released next week. The Wii Fit U bundle, which includes software, balance board, and fit meter will hit the shelves on January 10th for 89.99. If you still have your balance board from the Wii, you can purchase the software and fit meter for 49.99. You can also purchase the fit meter alone for 19.99

GameStop is offering savings on GTA V this week, priced at 39.99. Also on sale is NBA 2k14 again for 39.99 and Gears of War: Judgement for 19.99. Lego Marvel Super Heros for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for 49.99 and for the Wii U, 360 and ps3, 39.99.

Ghibli founder and former retiree, Hayao Miyazaki (Hi-ya Me-a-Zackie), announced during a New year eve’s radio broadcast that he is no longer retiring, making it his 7th time of the on again, off again retirement idea.

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the television anime Witch Craft Works. The company will stream the series on Wednesdays starting on January 8th at 2:15 p.m ET for premium members.
