Fourth Painkiller: Hell & Damnation DLC Hits Steam
Publisher Nordic Games and developer The Farm 51 have released Full Metal Rocket, the fourth DLC for Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, on Steam yesterday. The new content mainly focuses on the multiplayer component of the game.
Full Metal Rocket comes packed with three new multiplayer maps, new multiplayer skins, new enemies and weapons, and a Survival mode that features its own leaderboards. You can buy it now for only $3.99.
“With previous releases of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation DLCs, we got tons of feedback and fans asking for more content,” Nordic Games Business and Product Development Director Reinhard Pollice said. “We always want our players to be fully challenged, so with this DLC we have decided to concentrate on the multiplayer elements of the game to give them a truly immersive, hellish experience.”
The brand new single-player Survival mode task players with holding off waves of enemies in order to gain access to weapon lockers and proceed to the next area to continue. Dedicated leaderboards boost the replayability, pushing players to try to beat their friends’ high scores.
Three classic multiplayer maps (Meatless, Blink, and Mines) will shine in high-definition glory as fans enjoy playing gamplay modes on them such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and the new Survival mode.
Two new maps are being added as well. Town has been created exclusively for Survival play while Prision is a new board for any game type.
Also included in the DLC are two new multiplayer skins (SS Zombie and Leper), new enemies (Executioner and Beast), and the a Mine weapon for use in multiplayer.
Also released yesterday was the Painkiller: Hell & Damnation DLC Bundle 1, which includes all four of the DLCs for the game including Medieval Horror, The Clock Strikes Meat Night, Operation “Zombie Bunker,” and Full Metal Rocket. The bundle can be bought on Steam for $14.99.
Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is an FPS sequel and remake to the game Painkiller. In Hell & Damnation, players battle demons and other creatures across an expansive single-player campaign, a four-chapter co-op story, or in the online multiplayer mode. The game released on Steam in October of last year and is coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 31.
