Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Steam Release Date Announced
Snake will be crawling his way to the PC later this year. According to a press release from Konami, the Steam version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will release digitally on Steam on Dec. 18. Konami has also confirmed that the game will be 4K compatible and will feature graphical improvements such as “increased number of simultaneous light-sources, the number of models that can be displayed on-screen and increased shadow resolution.”
There is no word yet on whether the bonus missions Deja Vu and Jamais Vu will be available on PC and Konami has yet to reveal the system requirements. There is also no word on how much the game will cost at launch. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be the first game in the series since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty to be available on PC without emulating the console version, not counting the spinoff game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes serves as a prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which will also be available on PC sometime next year.
