Square Enix Announces New Episodic Game “Life Is Strange”
With Telltale’s incredible recent success with their episode adventure titles The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead, I suppose it is no surprise that other studios are ready to follow suit.
The first of these is Square Enix, who have announced a new episodic adventure title Life Is Strange. The game is being developed with help from the team who made last years Remember Me, Dontnod.
Life Is Strange is described as an episodic, digitally delivered, narrative driven adventure game. It is set in a town called Acadia Bay, and follows the story of Max Caufield as she attempts to unravel the strange disappearance of her old friend Amber. Max has the power to control time, and her unravelling of it makes for a major mechanic in the game. The game is said to include lots of choices and resulting consequences which will affect your time with Life Is Strange.
While no release date has been announced as of yet, the title has been confirmed by IGN to release on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
Expect much more on Life Is Strange at Gamescom later this week, and until then keep it here at Leviathyn for all of your Gamescom news and announcements.
