Sega CEO Hajime Satomi says he wants to improve the quality of their games moving forward. That could mean a lot of things. It's nice to hear, but what they do next with their games is the real answer.
Sonic Boom Coming to Wii U & 3DS in November
Sonic Boom has been named and dated. New details have emerged on the Sonic reboot; Sega will be releasing two Sonic Boom games this November according to a story by Kotaku. Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 11 and Sonic Boom: Rise of the Lyric will be released for the Wii U on Nov. 18. Sega has also revealed the cover art for both games.
Both games will serve as a prequel to the tv series of the same name, which is scheduled to air in North America sometime this fall. The Sonic Boom series will be the second time that the Sonic character has been redesgined. The world’s fastest hedgehog was given a new look for his first proper 3D game Sonic Adventure. Sonic’s new look notably includes longer proportions and a scarf.
Aside from everyone getting a new look, Sonic & friends will be joined by a new character named Sticks, who appears next to Sonic on the cover art for Shattered Crystal.
Sonic last appeared in Sonic: Lost World and will be appearing in Super Smash Bros.
