Sega CEO Hajime Satomi says he wants to improve the quality of their games moving forward. That could mean a lot of things. It's nice to hear, but what they do next with their games is the real answer.
Far Cry 4 Releasing On November 18
Far Cry 4 is releasing on November 18 for all major consoles, sorry Wii U, and the PC. This news comes from a Ubisoft earnings presentation, which can be viewed here.
Ubisoft Montreal is leading development on Far Cry 4 in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev.
In Far Cry 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a reigion of the Himalayas, struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will write their own story across an open-world landscape.
“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
Far Cry 4 will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game will hit the United States in November 18 and hit the rest of the world on November 20. Far Cry 4 will be shown off at Ubisoft’s press conference at E3.
It’s awesome to see more and more developers releasing information about their games before E3, letting the hype for the game to build before showing it off. A new, snowy location for Far Cry 4 can only make the game that much better.
