Sega CEO Hajime Satomi says he wants to improve the quality of their games moving forward. That could mean a lot of things. It's nice to hear, but what they do next with their games is the real answer.
Release Date And 7 New Koopa Racers Announced For Mario Kart 8
Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U kart-racer, Mario Kart 8, finally has an official release date. Players can get their hands on the gravity-defying racer starting on May 30.
Alongside the release date for the game, Nintendo also announced several new racers for it during today’s Nintendo Direct. Company president Satoru Iwata revealed that all of the Kooplings will be playable racers in the title. These Koopa creatures first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 as bosses leading up to Bowser. They reappeared again in Super Mario World thereafter.
All seven are unique in size, and will come with their own strengths and weaknesses. Here are all seven, named after famous rockstars of course.
The company also announced a sequel to the successful NES Remix that released last year. It will include games from the system’s later years.
Nintendo has had its fair share of commercial problems with their home console, Wii U. The system’s most anticipated games include Mario Kart 8 and the upcoming next entry in the Smash series, Super Smash Bros., which also has a Spring release window.
