Bethesda Announces Two New $30 Game Bundles before Valentine’s Day
Bethesda Game Studios, makers of the popular Elder Scrolls series, have announced on their blog and on Twitter that they will be releasing, in North America only, two new bundles on Feb 11, three days before Valentine’s Day. These bundles combine Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 with Dishonored to make for some hard hitting titles, essentially only costing $15 apiece.
The announcement of the bundle was made with a “love letter” from Claptrap (of Borderlands fame) to Bethesda. In the letter, Claptrap describes his favorite parts of Dishonored in true, rambling Claptrap style. He then goes on to propose the bundle, with a price point of $30 and a release date within the next month. As a sidenote, the Skyrim and BioShock Infinite bundle is also mentioned.
The Skyrim and BioShock Infinite bundle will have the same price, release the same day, and acts as a direct sequel to the previous Oblivion and BioShock bundle. With Skyrim in its third year of release, new players will now be able to get their hands on it for a very reasonable price, and considering the critical acclaim of both Skyrim and Infinite, the price seems even more reasonable.
