Sega CEO Hajime Satomi says he wants to improve the quality of their games moving forward. That could mean a lot of things. It's nice to hear, but what they do next with their games is the real answer.
Blizzard Trademarks Heroes of the Storm
As of today, Blizzard Entertainment has trademarked a project called Heroes of the Storm.
This has led to some speculation that this is the official name for Blizzard All-Stars, the MOBA that the developer first revealed back in 2010 and has since confirmed as a work in progress.
When speaking of the MOBA, Blizzard’s Chris Sigaty mentions that the company wants to work with a “different business model” that would allow the developers to be able to “sell smaller amounts of things to players,” and more specifically, “the things they want.”
If this is the plan Blizzard is still going ahead with, then it’s more than likely their MOBA will be free-to-play like League of Legends and Dota 2.
