Sega CEO Hajime Satomi says he wants to improve the quality of their games moving forward. That could mean a lot of things. It's nice to hear, but what they do next with their games is the real answer.
Square Enix Shows New Final Fantasy 15 Trailer at TGS
While Square Enix is being rather tight-lipped about Final Fantasy 15, they have released a new trailer for us to drool over.
During the trailer, you’ll notice a lot of parts that we have already seen, but around the 2:55 mark, you get a glimpse of some new combat and traversal gameplay. Noctis, our protagonist, looks to be a pretty nimble as he whizzes around all over the place during combat, it’s really a sight to see.
Nobody really knows much about Final Fantasy 15, but we do know a few minor things. The game was previously known as Final Fantasy Versus 13 and was to be a Playstation 3 exclusive. But now, the game has obtained the new title of Final Fantasy 15, is going to be out for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One, is being directed by Tetsuya Nomura, and is currently in development at Square Enix’s 1st Production Department.
Final Fantasy 15 is supposed to have a much darker tone than the previous entries in the series and will be have a much faster pace as well. There will also be some third-person shooting elements thrown in there. The protagonist, Noctis Lucis Caelum, is a prince that belongs to a royal family that is supposed to protect the last remaining crystal in the entire world. Sounds pretty far-fetched, but that’s to be expected of a Final Fantasy game.
Square has yet to announce a release date, but I’d expect it to be at least next fall.
