Borderlands 2 Ultimate Upgrade Pack 2 Raises The Levelcap, Insanity And More
Vault Hunters get ready, as the Borderlands 2 Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge (bit of a mouthful there) is raising the level one more. Yes one of the main selling points of this pack is that it gives you an extra 11 levels to create carnage, giving you a grand total of 72 levels when combined with the first Upgrade Pack! That also means an extra 11 skill points for your character, giving you the chance to get that skill you may not have thought about before.
As well as increasing the level cap, the Upgrade Pack brings a new challenge to Borderlands 2: Raid on Digistruct Peak, a new challenging map for you to either kick ass on or have yours kicked (hopefully not with the extra 11 skill points!) You’re also getting new and powerful Legendary class mods and rare Pearlescent-grade weapons, and the ability to unlock overpowered enemies which will drop more powerful loot. And finally you’ll get new heads and skins to unlock, allowing you to customise your badass character in whole new ways. The second pack builds on the base of the first Upgrade pack, and Gearbox have handily provided this chart to show you what exactly you get with both Borderlands 2 Upgrade packs:
Raid on Digistruct Peak (sounds like a Digimon episode to me really) is described as being an “unrelenting gauntlet for Pandora’s toughest to prove their mettle”. If you do manage to beat the challenge at Level 72 you earn rewards unlike anything previously seen in the mad realms of Borderlands 2 – the most notable (and insane) being the ability to wield loot that goes OVER the Level 72 cap and face even more difficult foes. So, think you’ve finished the game? Looks like you’re going to have to think again!
The Borderlands 2 Ultimate Upgrade Pack 2 is available on Xbox 360 and Steam now, and will be hitting Playstation 3 with the next Playstation Store Update.
