EA/Origin Announce Humble Bundle for Charity
Eight games have just been released by EA as part of an Humble Origin Bundle. The blockbuster collection, which includes the likes of Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor, Crysis 2 and Mirror’s Edge typically clocks in at around $215, but is available on a name-your-price basis through the site. By meeting the average price of the bundle (at the time of this article, almost $5) the list grows to include Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 with a starter pack. Most of the games are their definitive, full-fledged editions.
Here’s the cool part: All funds raised in this Humble Bundle go towards a selection of great charities, including the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross. You can decide how your donation is divided between the organizations, and it’s a great incentive to help fuel your addictive gaming habits for a great real-world cause.
For those of you who were thrown into a spasm by the word “Origin” in the headline, fear not. Steam keys come with most of the games, with only three of them as Origin exclusives.
Head on over to the Humble Bundle website and get in on the action. The deal only runs for the next two weeks, and is an opportunity to pick up some incredible hits and help out some awesome organizations.
