Amazon Exclusive Madden 25 Anniversary Edition Is For DirecTV Customers Only
It’s a new year and time for another Madden to come to our consoles. In a way to refresh the series a bit and as a way to celebrate Madden NFL’s 25th anniversary, EA Sports has announced some perks to come with Madden NFL 25 as long as you go for the special edition that’s only available on Amazon.
The Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition is available on Amazon for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $99.99. It includes a copy of the game and a 17 special Ultimate Team pack of cards, if you notice that’s one for every week of the 2013-2014 NFL season. We all see what you did there EA Sports. Congratulations
But the real bonus is that if you purchase the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition, you’ll get an offer for DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket. I’m sure all those who actually have DirecTV will be thrilled though I’m sure that they’re hoping to grab some customers from this promotion.
If you don’t have DirecTV then you’ll get a promo code for $10 off each month of service if you sign up for a year. So there’s that. But you also get a free full season subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket Max which normally runs around $299.95 for the full NFL season. And even if DirecTV is just unavailable to you, you’ll get a free trial for NFL Sunday Ticket for the 2013 season. This includes the Red Zone Channel which shows all plays in the Red Zone and it can also be viewed on computers, tablets and mobile devices.
When it’s all laid out like this it sounds like a much better deal than it actually is. DirecTV already offers NFL Sunday Ticket for no extra cost to its new subscribers. So really unless you already have DirecTV there’s no real reason for the average gamer to pick up the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition—unless you just really want those cards and shiny cover.
