In response to a few recent games that appear to be lacking in the criteria. This is a short list and thoughts on some stand out game mechanics that developers seem to be ignoring and need to build upon.
Namco Presents Project Versus J, The “Ultimate Jump Game”
A new game from Namco Bandai was revealed in this month’s Shonen Jump that should have every Jump fan excited. Project Versus J was introduced alongside a teaser image of One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy, Dragon Ball Z’s Goku and Toriko’s Toriko.
In celebration of Shonen Jump’s 45th Anniversary fans will be able to vote on which Jump heroes they want to see in Project Versus J. Shonen Jump magazine also runs other popular series like Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Gintama, and Bleach (fingers crossed for an Ichigo or Grimmjow appearance).
The Project Versus J is a team-based fighting game is slated for a 2013 release on PS3 and Vita. The games first image can be seen below. This isn’t the first fighting game to feature the Jump cast, but this is the first coming to PS3 and Vita.
