Now that Nintendo has announced its plans to get into the mobile gaming market, how does its briefly alluded to new project, the "NX", fit in? What will its purpose be, and how will it tie into the mobile service with DeNA?
Dead Island: Riptide not headed to Germany
Much like the original Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide will not be making its way to Germany. Though creative producer Sebastian Reichert hinted of a possible no-show for Riptide in Germany, Reichert confirmed it today.
In an interview with PCGamesN, Reichert says, “We have no censored version of the game, so we cannot release it in Germany. It feels f’ing* awkward to have one of the most successful games in years and nobody in your country knows it.” According to the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbskontrolle (USK), it must follow government-enforced criteria. This criteria involves making note that a game cannot have extreme violence against human-like enemies.
That’s a wee bit strange, since Gears of War 3 was released in Germany, yet the previous two entries in the series were not. Some food for thought.
