YouTube Adds More Captions for Videos
Google’s has added six new languages for its captioning system on the popular video hosting website, YouTube. The new languages include Dutch, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Russian. The captioning service was rolled out in 2009 in with only English captions and later with the addition of Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.
You now have around 200 million videos with automatic and human-created captions on YouTube, and we continue to add more each day to make YouTube accessible for all.
