Assassin’s Creed is spectacular, and I am an unabashed fanboy of it. Even when I’m not entirely enjoying it, I find ways to love it. I also enjoy the Call of Duty franchise. I say “enjoy” because I no longer love it.

There are a lot of crazy abilities to be had in video games. That’s part of what makes them fun. But every so often a game comes along that goes above and beyond the call of duty
Prototype is a game series that is built around such a crazy concept that it should have been impossible to mess up. Superhuman antihero goes on a rampage through New York fighting mutants, soldiers, and miscellaneous pedestrians in search of the reasons behind his sudden powers. Boom. So what went wrong?
When people think about fun spinoff racing games, the first title that comes to mind is most likely a member of the Mario Kart series. There was, however, another quirky universe that spat out a playable, fun, racer-based spinoff.
I love MMORPG’s. I don’t play them nearly as much as I used to, but my best friend and I become so largely based on the fact that we were both avid gamers of the Runescape variety. Later on we would take up WoW, and eventually GW2.
I can’t be the only one who has played an open world game, walked past a random NPC citizen, and wondered where he or she was headed. Sure it was a though often had right before running them over with a tank, but it’s the sentiment that counts.
I can’t make up my mind about Assassin’s Creed III, so here’s some of the good and the bad.
