Sometimes it's fun to revisit some old last gen titles that may have been forgotten. This list consists of a few that I still enjoy today.
Watch Dogs Goes Gold
Watch Dogs is ready for release. Ubisoft announced today via their blog that the highly anticipated Watch Dogs has gone gold, meaning that development on the game is officially finished and the game is ready for shipping to retailers.
Watch Dogs has been in development for five years but it was originally scheduled to release alongside the launch of next-gen consoles in Nov. 2013, but was delayed in October. With the game having gone gold, it is close to a complete certainty that the game will hit shelves on May 27 as scheduled.
“It’s exciting to be gold,” says Creative Director Jonathan Morin. “But it’ll be more exciting when people are playing. For the fans it means that it’s true. It means there will be no such thing as another delay. But for us, it’s not done until they actually have it in their hands.”
“We tried to make a game that’s very scalable in the esnse that it supports your play style,” says Lead Gameplay Designer Danny Belanger. “It supports what you want to do most of the time. And it also supports your motivation. It allows players to do what they feel like, which I find really cool. There’s lots of things to explore, there’s lots of things to try. I think the greatest thing about Watch Dogs is doing what you think is fun.”
Watch Dogs releases worldwide for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC. The Wii U version is scheduled to release this fall.
