Battlefield 1 truly feels like a breath of fresh air to a gaming community that hasn't seen any creative change in a long time.
Gran Turismo 6 Will Be Demoing At Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Gran Turismo 6 will now be demoing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013 thanks to a deal between Polyphony Digital Inc. and the motoring extravaganza. The festival, set to run from the 11th through 14th July, is probably the biggest of its kind, attracting over 185,000 people. This makes it an ideal place to demo the new ‘Real Driving Simulator.’ Gran Turismo ‘racing pods’ will be positioned at various locations around the Goodwood park for people to try the demo ahead of the game’s release later this year.
To make the show even better, Kazunori Yamauchi himself (the CEO of Polyphony Digital and a keen racing driver) will be welcoming visitors to the festival, and will be donning his overalls and helmet for some high-adrenaline drives up the famous hill climb course in a number of beautiful cars.
The partnership between Goodwood and Polyphony will see pods located at the Goodwood Hotel, the FoS Family area and in the members’ enclosure, as well as in the Drivers’ Club and media centre. Pods will also be located in the Nissan and Alfa Romeo stands and in the Nissan, Mercedes Benz and Ford areas of the Moving Motor show, to keep with Gran Turismo’s long track record of innovative partnerships with automotive manufacturers.
Gran Turismo is the racing child of Playstation. In fact, it’s the biggest franchise Playstation have ever had, having sold more than 70 million copies since the launch in 1998. With the recent announcement and it’s previous popularity, it’s no wonder that Polyphony are eager to showcase the latest installment at this huge racing event, with a vast potential audience all waiting to try it.
Tickets for the event are still available to buy, and you can find these on the Goodwood Festival of Speed website. This seems like a weekend not to miss, especially for any avid car or racing fans out there!
