Square Enix's decision to split Final Fantasy VII Remake into multiple installments may harm the game for one big reason.
Livestream: Chasm Q&A with James Petruzzi and Special Guest Sean Velasco of Yacht Club Games
What are you doing on Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm EST? Why, you’ll be here of course, looking on as James Petruzzi demonstrates the monster potential of Chasm, Discord Game’s current Kickstarter title. Being a 2D sidescroller, Chasm draws some serious inspiration from Metroid and Castlevania so it’s only fitting then, that we bring in the world’s foremost expert on the wizardry of pixels and sidescrollers. Joining us for this prestigious event is the esteemed Sean Velasco, craftsman of Shovel Knight and Grand Magistrate of Yacht Club Games. Two indie developers in one place, showing off a single game? How can you not be there?
It’s an exciting time to be an indie developer and an even more exciting time to be associated with some. Without contributors, like yourselves, games like Chasm and Shovel Knight would not be possible to create and thus we’d be relegated to the deep mists of internet forums, arguing about how awesome it would be if we got a modern day Metroidvania game. Thankfully that is no longer the case and you can ask James and Sean all about development, their games and actually see Chasm being played by a poorly trained journalist. C’mon, you can’t expect everything to always be great.
Remember to head on back here or teleport over to our Twitch page for the livestream on Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm EST. Ask questions, insult Andrew and enjoy our special guests!
If you haven’t checked it out already, make sure to visit Discord Game’s Kickstarter page for Chasm! With less than two weeks to go until the final digital whistle blows, they need all the help they can get to reach those feisty stretch goals.
