Sometimes it's fun to revisit some old last gen titles that may have been forgotten. This list consists of a few that I still enjoy today.
The Hangover Part III: Trailer and Poster Released
The finale to The Hangover Trilogy is being released in the US this summer and to build up some hype for the film, a poster and a trailer for the film were released.
The poster shows Zach Galifianakis (Due Date) and Ken Jeong (Community) facing each other with Las Vegas burning behind them. Both characters are bloody and bruised in a very obvious nod to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows poster that showed Harry Potter and Voldemort facing off against each other in a similar fashion. Here is the image:
In addition the the release of the poster, a teaser trailer showing various segments of the film was also released. The trailer heavily focuses on Galifianakis’ character Alan. The trailer begins with a rendition of Ave Maria by Alan at a funeral for his father and continues to set up the story of the film. The characters will travel back to Las Vegas, the setting of the first film in the franchise, for the last time. The trailer culminates in a humorous accident with a giraffe which follows the trend of Hangover films featuring exotic animals (The first film starred a tiger while the second featured a smoking monkey). Watch it below:
The film is directed by the first two films’ director Todd Phillips and features Academy Award-nominated Bradley Cooper alongside other actors Ed Helms , Zach Galifianakis who make up the “Wolfpack”. Ken Jeong, the returning Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Bartha, John Goodman, Sasha Barrese, Gillian Vigman, and Jamie Chung also feature.
A slew of films have tried to emulate the success of The Hangover including Project X and 21 and Over, the newly released film. See how it fared at the US box office this weekend against the opening of the first Hangover film here.
The official release date is 24th of May 2013 or Memorial Day if you didn’t know.
