Square Enix's decision to split Final Fantasy VII Remake into multiple installments may harm the game for one big reason.
Listen To The Hobbit’s Credits Song “Song Of The Lonely Mountain”
Rolling Stone has released the credits song for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey which can be heard here.
The song, which is featured in the story and sung by the dwarves early, is done by Neil Finn of Crowded House fame.
When talking to Rolling Stone about the song he recants the tale about how Peter Jackson wanted him to get into a “dwarven state of mind” before recording. Sounds like great advice and something Mr. Jackson would ask of someone adding a very important piece to one of his movies. Peter Jackson gets very into his filmmaking and the credits never go wanting. All three Lord of the Rings had beautiful elven hymns to go along with their credits but part 1 of The Hobbit is bucking that tradition.
Song of the Lonely Mountain will accompany another song about mountains entitled “Beneath The Mountain” which was featured in the first official trailer for the film and showed the dwarven cast singing it in a scene inside Bilbo’s house. The trailer can be seen below.
Listening to the film song and then the produced song by Neil Finn, I have to say I like both of them. They each have their own charm as the film one is quite foreboding and Finn’s song is a great wrap up song filled with anvil.
