Square Enix's decision to split Final Fantasy VII Remake into multiple installments may harm the game for one big reason.
Is Square Enix Teasing A New World Ends With You?
A new teaser site registered by Square Enix seems to be signaling a new game in the World Ends With You universe heading our way.
One many recall series head Tetsuya Nomura saying in an April interview that “regarding The World Ends With You, I can’t say anything at present, but there probably is something.” That statement-yet-not-a-real-statement turned fans’ hearts a-flutter, especially coupled with the World Ends With You characters’ inclusion in the recent Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance for 3DS. Now, fans might be finally getting what they really want: another chance to be Players in the Reapers’ Game.
Also of interest is the word in the URL, “subaseka” which is similar enough to the game’s Japanese name, “Subarashiki Kono Sekai,” to raise some eyebrows.
If THAT’s not enough to convince you, check out this file dug up by an Andriasang user. It seems that this music is set to play on day three of this countdown, and it sounds an awful lot like a mashup of songs from the World Ends With You soundtrack.
Right now, the teaser site is just a countdown clock (in the font of the Game’s timer, I might add) with some silhouetted buildings in the background. We’ll know for sure when the clock strikes zero, but I know I’ll be waiting and watching for the countdown to be up. The World Ends With You is one of my favorite DS games, and I’d jump at the chance to play some more.
